HELP ME FIND A SPACE TO SHOW MY WORK!
I would like to schedule a solo show comprised of 2D and 3D pieces made solely out of brown paper, photographic layers, burned imagery and some paint. The theme is Quieter World: A Search for Sustenance. This exhibition extends beyond my solo performance entitled Worldwide Web: A Search for Self (in 1995, when the Internet was taking off). Quieter World is a quest for sustenance and sustainability across relationships, places, and conditions. How can we grow vital connections at this time of unprecedented sharing combined with the shadow side of globalization? My pieces are reflections, maps, and guideposts on this quest. I envision some performance element - live music and storytelling at the reception and some soundtracks as part of the exhibit.
Needed: a dedicated space for at least a month in an accessible spot for viewers as I will put my time, heart, and soul into creating a beautiful environment.
